Patrick Burns (Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning)
Patrick Burns is a Senior Vice President leading Nexant’s Strategy & Planning group, focusing on providing critical solutions through technical and complex consulting engagements for utilities and agencies. Patrick has over 20 years of engineering, planning and analytic experience with a focus on demand-side management (DSM) consulting, evaluation, program planning, market research, and energy efficiency analysis. Patrick has a strong record as a subject matter expert and leader in DSM planning studies and program evaluations for dozens of clients for electric and natural gas utilities across North America. As a licensed electrical engineer, Patrick has a strong expertise in measurement and verification approaches for all energy efficiency, demand response and distribution equipment utilizing many different algorithms and data sources. Patrick holds a B.S. in architectural and civil engineering from the University of Colorado.
